I don't post much but I feel like saying something here...OP, just ignore these guys. I've been monitoring this forum looking for a truck and all Artvandelay does is ask people if they are negotiable on their price or tell them they are priced too high. He's a joke. At the end of the day it's a Tacoma and I'm sure you can get blue book value for it. If in doubt price it high and see what happens.

Artvandelay's post wasn't disrespectful in any way, was helpful by providing a practical solution, and you call him out as a joke? I think the joke is people that think forums are for circle jerking yes men looking for nothing more than a daily affirmation.

You ARE good enough. You ARE smart enough. And gosh darnit. People LIKE you.

    Great and funny posts.
    Thanks for the comments.
So far I have had 3 offers. 2 ended with the inability to get financing and one lost to an older truck for less money. Regardless of what we all think the truck is worth, at the end of the day, it comes down to what people want to pay for it, how much I will take, and how long I want to wait. I am not on much of a time crunch, but would like to clear my driveway.

I posted a similar thread a year ago to sell my 05 tacoma just to get an idea of what I should sell my tacoma for, I had a ballpark figure in my head but wanted to see what others said. Of course inexperience people came in with super low suggestions which I was glad to have just as any sort of price point to feel any sort of market. But I knew I could get more for it I listed it for quite a bit higher than what they suggested to me (at a price I considered the only price I would sell at) and sold it in less than three days for full asking price. Best way to do it is feel out the market in your area because every area is different too, doesnt hurt to list a little higher and if youre getting no hits and no offers lower your asking. Good luck with your sale!

Thanks archerm3, I really needed that to get through my day  The post was looking for advice on how to price his truck, not a lowball price that someone would want to pay for it.

And yes, this is a joke...

I am going to keep it listed at $23k until it sells. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions, much appreciated.

You have a few things going against you if you hold fast at $23K for a long time:

Licensing and Insurance costs continue to mount, plus the chance of accident.
Your 2010 will soon be 6 model years old. Depreciation.
The 2016 Tacomas are coming out. Who knows what that will do to 2nd gen prices, but the price tendency and demand are downward.

    GLWS!

Yes, I agree. I am hoping that I don't have to wait that long. If I get a reasonable offer, I will take it. I am not married to $23k. I will keep it listed there. Good points about the 2016 though.

Always always start HIGH! Who gives a shit if a handful of people act mildly offended at the price. Just takes one person to be interested enough to buy and you can always lower the price if you need to!

I've been looking for a 2007 or newer TRD double cab 4x4 and here in east Tennessee, they're all high. I'm about done looking for used and going to buy a new one. Your price is right around what everyone else is asking but none are selling. I just can't get my head around buying a 6 year old truck for $10,000 less than what I can get a new one for. I think once the 2016 trucks come out the 2nd Gen will take a nose dive. Or at least that's what I keep telling myself. Good luck, nice truck and it's the color I'm looking for.

I am in the same boat shopping for a DC Tacoma, I keep thinking I should hold out till 2016's are out and see if I can score a 2nd gen that way, or bite the bullet and buy new???
