Well I have been on this forum numerous times and thought it time to become official.
Yesterday I took my 05 Tacoma to the dealership to have it checked out for the frame rust campaign. Well it ends up that my frame is perforated and now I'm on pins and needles as the dealership awaits the green light for a new frame. They also discovered that one of my leaf springs was broken and it too was on a recall or TSB. I quizzed the tech as to the procedure and evidently if its approved they will replace the frame , shocks, brake lines and whatever else needs to be done all free of charge. I was kinda stunned. I have a black 05 trd crew cab and I love it. I live in the snow belts in Ontario Canada and do a lot of snow driving. Well fingers crossed toyota says yes....

Well into the second week of no Taco. No word from the dealership since they gave me a brand new 15 dodge truck. Is it weird even with a brand new truck i would take my taco any day over the dodge lol.

It happens I guess. But at least Toyota is fixing it. I would coat the frame after you get it honestly. No telling if a new frame will hold up anyway.

Yep I definitely will....I was ready for a fight with Toyota but they were great....I did oil my truck every year. Just amazed at the rust underneath.
