    Bone Stock....for now.........
    Hey everyone,

This is my first post on here and I can now say that I am a proud owner of a 2011 Tacoma CC LB. So....I have been dabbling with the idea of giving the new truck a little lift. I want to be clear though, I will NOT be taking my rig through 8' of water, through rock fields or try and climb up trees with it. I am just looking for a more aggressive stance with the truck, and when the time calls for a little wheelin' in the Rockies to find that fishin honey hole, maybe I want it jacked up a little. Since the internet is just a vast amount of useless non-validated information (for the most part) I can never get a straight answer. I live in Colorado, and I live about a mile away from Slee Offroad. I have asked them for some advice, and just like any smart shop would, they tried to talk me into buying a $3000 kit. These types of kits are great for the hardcore rock crawlin cowboy, but that's not what I intend to use my truck for. So....can someone please give me some straight shooter advice on a good, but inexpensive kit for my truck. I have heard of the leveling kit and add a leaf with the Bilstein 5100's, just need to know if this is a good use of money. Thanks everyone, positive feedback is always embraced!!!

    Welcome!

A budget lift that handles great on and off road: (4) 5100 billy, Toytech springs and a wheelers 3 leaf pack.

I'm lifted 2.5" and have 33" tires with this set up.

Sweet!! Thank you.....do you recall where you bought these parts from? Any part #'s and such??

I just want to buy from a reputable distributor who will sell me the complete kit. Or if I have to piece mill the kit together, it would be great to know some legit places to order from who will provide the right parts.

    Thanks again!!

check out toytec. they ahave some good stuff for our trucks. Billies are great as I run them as well but I upgraded to 885x coils. if you want to buy a good kit for what you need, the OME (Old Man Emu) lifts are great. I believe toytec has them on their site? but definitely go with 33s as well

Any lift above 2.5" it is recommended to replace the UCAs but it isnt necessarily a requirement. There are plenty of people running 3" lift with stock UCAs but they eventually get new ones

Why not master it's current capabilities, then determine what the actual need might be?

And one of the posters in this thread, Matt Gecko, sells an outstanding bed lighting kit. Depending on how you use the truck, you might find that more useful than a lift.

I pick up all the leftover bread products from a local Panera one night a week to distribute to a local food pantry. Always see folks eyeballing my illuminated cargo space. Kinda freaks them out I think. :D

I think Ill go with the toytecs Bilstein-Adjustable-lift-kit-with-5100-shocks and set it at 1.75 in the front

yes it would be a good lift but the eibach coils are lift coils so the highest setting you could put the 5100's is the lowest setting so .75"? I believe. either way the coils will lift it alone and it is not recommended to set the billies above the lowest setting. The billies are actually made to use the stock coils which can be adjusted up to 1.75

you can pm me if you have any more questions!

On the website it states "standard cab and 4cyl models should use the Lowest C Clip setting" I have a trd off road and isnt it true its not a good idea to run them with the trd pre load coils?
