I figured I would sign up over here because I could only get so much info on a GM forum that I usually frequent!

I'm here to get info on the 2016 Tacoma, so I will be lurking around the threads for a while and asking what will seem like neverending questions. I am new to the Tacoma platform, completely retarded with these trucks. I am coming from a NBS Sierra crew cab.

Seems there are a few DFW guys around.

I'm sure no one cares about either!

I'm sure they are, I've been in the section for about 3 weeks now while trying to decide what route we were going to go. It was between a Tundra, 4Runner and Tacoma, and the Tacoma being the most likely purchased. Trying to stay under $30k, so the Tundra is out unless we get "wowed" by it. I'm studying up on the coilover lifts. I had coilovers on my truck, and don't think I will ever go any other route.

    Welcome to TW OP.

Just curious looks like your a GM/Chevy kind of guy. How come you aren't considering the midsize twins from GM?

to be honest, the Colorado and Canyon do nothing for me, I've always been a big fan of Tacomas. I plan to actually get in them both and drive them, but so far I am leaning towards the Tacoma. Biggest turnoff right now is the lack of interior options however. This vehicle is for my wife, we are getting rid of her CRV. It's boring, and we really have no need for it.

We went from looking at another G8 (fuck that, big pile of shit) to the SS sedan, CTS-V, RC350, blah blah blah, to deciding on a mid-size truck. We have no kids, and no plans for them, just the decent sized dogs. We love to travel, fish etc, and the truck would be pretty useful. My truck was good for two things, avoiding potholes and speed bumps.
