    2 quick questions...

    1. The brake light on the driver side tail light is dim, what is the cause of this?

    2. Are the led lights on the tails replaceable? My neighbor told me I have to buy a whole new assembly....

    Just a few LEDs...
Sounds like you might just have a dirty or loose connection to the brake lights on the driver's side. Try disconnecting and then reconnecting the plug.

The LEDs act as both the parking/running lights and the brake lights. They are just brighter when your foot is on the brake pedal.

I suppose the circuit that makes the LEDs brighter for the brake lights could be bad. How long have you had the Depo Tails? (I have the same ones)

Thanks for the response. Don't think it's the connection... Switched driver and passenger side tails, and the bad driver side tail is now on the passenger side. That tells me something is wrong with the bad tail light...

I've had the tails for less than a year

Well that sucks. looks like its new tail light time. I don't remember what that warranty period is on the Depos, but you could check into that.

I have a set of LED tail lights and on the passenger side everything works but the main parking/brake LED light but when I switch the light from the passenger side to the driver's side it works just fine. So I know the LED Light works. Sorry for jacking your thread but I need some help too. Any suggestions?

I think the OP is talking about the ring of LEDs used for the parking/brake lights. They all light up when the parking lights are on but don't get brighter when the brake pedal is pressed.

I know, I'm just imagining your rig on fire that's all. It's like looking for a candle in a forest fire!

Yeah? Well, there's definitely no excuse for people that don't see me coming, especially at night. :D

Bought it from shortyantennasource.com but I think they're out of business now. I like it, no loss in reception

Exactly. I was told that they don't get brighter when I press the brakes... So I had my son step on the brakes in our driveway so I could see for myself
