Hello to all. Now before you start bashing my post about being a repeat thread, I have exhausted my self with threads from this site and other forums as well. I have a 96 Tacoma 2.7 with a manual transmission. I just recently rebuilt the motor as well as some routine maintenance such as replaced spark plugs/wires, distributor cap and button. I even went ahead and upgraded the exhaust manifold to the steel pipe version that comes on the new tacomas. When I received the motor from the company who did the rebuild I noticed the knock sensor was broken. I replaced it and said nothing because i really couldnt prove that it was them who damaged it since I was the one who took the motor out and took it to them. Long story short. I have dealt with this code for about 3 months now, replacing one thing after another in an attempt to resolve the situation. I have replaced the knock sensor 3 times (one of which was a oem sensor). I rewired the harness from the ecu to the sensor since there is not a pigtail version for this truck. I then search the internet from end to end trying to find an ecm. Finally found one with matching numbers and plugged it up. The truck fired right up and ran great....until the blasted light came back on in the same scenario. Usually comes on around 2k rpms. Mostly when I shift from 1st to second gear. It does come on while in 4 or 5 but not near as much. The truck runs and sounds GREAT...until the light comes on which I know adjust the timing to avoid detonation. Which really sucks...I drive around with my OBD scanner plugged in all the time clearing it several times a trip. I am in desire need of this to be fixed as I am planning a trip that will involve some simple back roads and camping. One final question before I leave it with you. If the code PO325 states that its a "knock sensor circuit malfunction, bank 1" does the only mean that it is a circuit issue only....or can this mean that the sensor is actually detecting something like a knock. Please help!!!!!

sorry this is sooooooo long. I just wanted you to have all the information to help with the situation.
