I heard in one video with a Toyota rep that the gen 3 skins are all new bumper to bumper. I see the front skins are slightly modified to flow into the new front end, but I don't see any difference in the rear door on DC's or even AC's for that matter.
It almost seems like you could pull a gen 2 rear door out of a salvage yard and throw it on a gen 3. Can anyone point the difference if there is any? Because I don't see it.
Not trying to start a debate on how new or not-new the gen 3 is. We all know it's not a clean sheet redesign. Just really curious about rear door skins.

There are various changes to the door's structure and sound deadening, but the mounting should be the same or very similar. If you wanted to swap doors with an older one you likely could.

The skin on the access cab rear doors are the same part as the 2015, the double cab is a different part number.

Someone in a review said that the front fender well was going into the front door panel. I thought they were talking about the flare, but now I see they were just talking about the bump
