Hey guys, I am brand new to this site and also to owning a Tacoma. I recently purchased a new 2015 Tacoma TRD Off-Road. I am looking to put work into it soon and I have a few questions:

    1. OME or Bilstien Toytec lift? (I am leaning towards OME)
    2. Should I replace my stock tires for now or should I upgrade?
    3. If I do upgrade tires how big should I go on rims and tires? (I am thinking BFGoodrich T/A KO2)
    4. what is a solid front bumper?
    5. Any other recommended upgrades?

I am brand new to this stuff so any help would be greatly appreciated! Also, I plan on using this truck as an everyday car for now but also the main idea is to use it for off roading.

    Yes sir
    1. OME all the way. 885's get you around 2.5 inches of lift, 886's if you plan on getting a steel plate bumper and other armour, 887's get you 3 inches of lift.
    2. I'd get new ones, it'll look funny if you lift your truck and stick with stock tires.
    3. I love my BFG KO's so yea I like KO2's as well, you could also check out goodyear wrangler duratracs. As for rims, it's all personal. I don't care for rockstar type bro wheels but other guys lover them, personally I like a baja style more. Just search online until you find something you like the looks of. Also, check out some of the other threads on here specifically on rims, tons of options out there!
    4. I like the looks of pelfreybuild and SOS, I believe pelfrey has a shorter wait time right now by quite a bit. Other companies are all-pro, bruteforce, avid, demello, relentless, and rigid industries. Hopefully I didn't forget any others, probably did though...
    5. If you're planning on off roading that bad boy: sliders, better shocks, rear bumper for sure. Otherwise: interior mods for music and other stuff, hood struts, seat covers, steps, and like a hundred other mods haha, too many to list.

    Welcome to T.World.
I run Bfg Ko2's. There is a thread yhat discusses these tires if you want to know more.
    I personally enjoy the tires.
    Good luck!

Wow, you aren't messing around! First, welcome! Secondly, look at the intended purpose for your truck and build in that direction. Do you want a daily driver with some altitude? A weekend warrior for camping/outdoors? A work truck? A serious rock crawler? Overland? It all really depends. The beauty of these trucks is that they are really versatile and can take any of those forms with the proper setup. If you've been stalking the site for some time now (like I did before I joined) then I'm sure you already have plenty of inspiration for how to spend your money- just make sure it will fit your lifestyle. That way you aren't wasting money and buying things that simply look cool and have no function or that are overkill for your purpose. That's why you see guys selling things on this site with very little use because they eventually need to upgrade or get rid of all together. Case in point: I have a 3" Toytec kit for sale. Great lift for the money, but I need something more. "Buy once, cry once" is something a lot of the experienced guys will repeat over and over on here.
With that said, it's your truck and you should be happy with it! If you have the money for it, go apeshit! People have their own views and opinions for what's better than this or that. Ultimately as long as you're happy with what you drive and it does what you need it to do, then you've achieved the goal!

I have a 2014 Taco off road, and I just threw 265/75/16 Wrangler Duratracs on my stock wheels. Doing my Mods one at a time because its $$$ to do it all at once, but super stoked with how they look.
