"The power of N2 also arrives for Toyota Tacoma, as part of the new 3" N2-Series. This easy to install kit features 2" rear blocks and front upper strut extensions. With our new N2.0 Shocks, this kit takes your Tacoma to the next level; perfectly balancing off road performance and smooth highway ride."

I had that before I upgraded to 6in gives it a great look but the ride gets a little rougher but that's what you would expect with a spacer lift

If ride quality were my only concern, and I "had" to get a lift of some sort, spacers or 5100's?

    NEVER use spacers.....

you will bottom out the shock before hitting the bump stops which will ruin the shocks.

image.jpg image.jpg I'm running a 3 inch toytec spacer lift with 1.5 inch blocks in the back. No complaints at all. I'll eventually get a OME lift but this is fine for the time being. I have 265/75/16 tires. Would be higher with 285s.

Yes and no, to you and OP. Spacer lifts weaken the strut severely making it prone to breaking on forest service roads even. Higher you go the worse it is.

Blocks are bad because they increase axle wrap, in turn destroying your rear end, but also flatten out your leaf springs a lot quicker. Same as spacers, bigger the block the worse it is

No sense in putting a $400 lift on a $30,000 truck let alone a junk country $250 lift

I get what your saying but unless you are going off-road often and hard I don't think a spacer kit is a bad thing. Is it as good for your truck as other options? No. But we my truck fall apart if I drive down a dirt road? No. If it wears the parts out sooner replace them. Half the parts you would be replacing anyways with these other lifts on the market. Just don't get the hate on the spacer lifts. I've had 100,000 mile tundra with 98,000 miles of it with the spacer lift. No issues and drove it off-road a good bit hunting. Just evaluate what you use your truck for and get what you need. If you race rally trucks on the weekends with your Tacoma get something serious. If you don't even want mud to hardly get on it...haha get a spacer lift until you can afford something better.
