I have experienced a random play feature failure for files/folders when playing music stored on a USB drive? I have over 2000 songs stored in eleven folders on a USB that I play. I have noticed repetitive playing of some songs on one folder and think the random feature is having a glitch. Anyone with any similar experiences and any cure?

What do you have to do to use a USB drive as a music folder? I've been using my phone and bluetooth, but I was exploring how to store more music on a USB so I don't have to fiddle with bluetooth. That and I can store a fair deal more. Will any USB storage drive work? And do MP3 files work? Sorry I don't have an answer to your question. If it's any consolation the "random" function does the same thing with my phone (playing a few songs more than any other)

    SnowDrift, See this thread:

Files will play in the order they were put on the drive. Drivesort will put your files in proper order. I use a very small usb drive, the cover on the USB port on my 2012 almost closes with it in place, so you don't even notice it.
