I would love to buy this truck and I have to wait a bit since my lease is not up until Feb 2016. I am looking at the prices on some people that have preorder the truck and it seems a bit high for me. Basically i Would like a double cab 4x4, manual or automatic ( still haven't decided about the transmission have to drive both and then decide). it could be the sport or SR5 don't do much hard core off roading . I just don't want the monthly payments to be too high. I don't care too much about the creature comforts, Sunroof and all that, What do you guys think? will it be a truck for around that price?

Under 34k out the door or MSRP? You're pretty much looking at the SR 4x4 v6 Auto DC SB or LB for around 33-34k OTD if you get a little off and don't buy any extended warranties or services (that's the most truck you can get). SR5 will be 35-36k OTD for same configuration. You can get Access cab 4cyl for 6cyl SR and SR5 4x4 for 34k or less OTD.

See below for base MSRP, then add $900 for destination, add options/packages, then add your sales tax and figure you'll get the any other title, tags, fees off in discount. Should give you a ball park OTD price +/- $500

The options/packages are based off the leaked sheet because they have not all been discovered yet. The TRD model options have been updated to (approx.) what has been recently seen on order sheets from TW.

I don't doubt it, but I think he's talking about a 2016. Prices have gone up and it's a brand new model. If you're a really good negotiator or have the cash to buy it outright anything is possible. I can't give 10 thousand possible scenarios, but what I gave were the actual starting numbers. To the OP; if you want a 2015 you can get more truck for you desired price. Please repost in the Gen 2 forum for help on that.

Thanks for the info . I am not interested in the 2015, i would like the 2016. Maybe what i meant was I would like to finance 34k ? so if the truck is 36OTD i could give a couple thousand dollars down and finance the rest. I asked this because I see all the prices on preorders being 37 and above which to me is really expensive. I would like a TRD Sport DC manual 4x4 or maybe an SR5 4x4 DC automatic. I much rather take the TRD SPORT Manual

    TACOMA 7543 TRD SPORT DOUBLE CAB 4X4 V6 M/T
    $32,100 (base msrp)+$900 (destination)= $33,000 x .07 (tax-this is a guess)=$2,310 Total= $35,310 ish/OTD

    TACOMA 7559 TRD SPORT ACCESS CAB 4X4 V6 M/T LB $31,320
    $31,320 (base msrp)+$900 (destination)= $32,220 x .07 (tax-this is a guess)=$2,256 Total=$34,476 ish/OTD

I was just thinking about the TRD Sport DC exactly the way you quoted before with no packages or the SR5 with the appearance package. Thing is with the SR5 i will only have to get it in Automatic. Which would you guys think is better value for the money of the 2? I am assuming the TRD Sport Manual comes already with the SR5 appearance package or something similar?

It's pretty much the same truck except you get a hood scoop, color keyed front/rear bumper (instead of chrome) chrome grille (instead of black) and a trd sticker that says "hey, I'm badass just like mike sweers".

Update: Manual vs Auto and Sport Tuned shocks (whatever that's worth) on TRD, also, the LED DRL and 17" vs 16" alloys on TRD.

jajaja That was a good one TRDPRO4x4. I just want to see my options, hopefully by the time I purchase there is a little more room to negotiate since I am not buying when the truck comes out.
For the money I think the SR5 DC 4x4 makes more sense even though i am not getting a manual. :(

I posted this to another thread so you can see all of the differences between base trd sport base and SR5 w/ conv. package.

TRD Sport MTSB is about the same money as SR5 w/ Convenience package ATSB.

hood scoop / no hood scoop
color keyed front bumper / black/gray front bumper
color key rear bumper / chrome rear bumper
chrome grille / black grille with chrome surround
    trd sticker / no sticker
    manual transmission / automatic transmission
LED daytime running lights / no LED's
sport tuned shocks / regular shocks
    17"wheels / 16"alloys
TRD seats charcoal / regular cement interior with camel/red accents
side mirror directional signals / regular mirrors
etune premium audio 7"HD / etune plus audio 6.1"
wide angle fog lights / regular fog lights
Qi cell phone charging / n/a
    power bed outlet / none

I've got the Qi charger on there, but was showing the Manual trans options. The push button is only available on the Auto trans.

Start saving now and put a large down payment on the truck in February when your lease is up. That will bring your payments down and cover any gap that occurs when you drive off the lot

Thank you that is the plan even though I don't worry about that with the Tacoma since they hold their value well

The TRD OR DCLB V6 4x4 is 34340. You can take them for half the Hold Back and get under 34k
