I have an 07 X-Runner. I installed the new ebay switch to control the fog lights. It has 4 wires, but I only needed 2 to control the fogs since the other 2 were for the dash lights and ground. With the key on, I noticed 2 had 12v, one had 6v and one was ground. I accidently shorted one of the 12v wires while trying to see which one powered the fogs. The 6v and one of the 12v wires don't have voltage now. After hooking up the switch I now no longer have HVAC lights. Any idea what I fried?

Yep, turned out just to be a fuse. Whew! Well, the new switch looks better than stock and illuminates when on. I wish Toyota had put a dash light or something to let you know fog lights are on.
