My 09 Tacoma double cab v6 has 81K miles. For the past 3 years it has has often not started. I will drive it and stop turn off the engine and come back and it will crank but not start. Not being at the dealer at the time there is noway to check and see there is a code. I have taken the air filter off and let it rest. After about 10 minutes I will put it back together and it will start. Once in a while it will do the same immediately right after I let it seat a while, start and die and not start again. It did it today and I went to Auto Zone and had the code reader put on just in case the engine light message was not being shown on the dash. NO CODE FOUND. The attendant said it might be the crank shaft position sensor or the throttle body. Anybody have the same problem.

Fuel pump maybe. I would think a crank sensor would throw a code.

Ok I'm having the same issue. I have replaced the fuel pump and it still does the same thing. No rhyme or reason to this either. It can happen once in a month or three times in a week? No codes to read. I have the same code reader that autozone has. So my question is dose anyone know of a relay or something to this effect that might be bad. I am dumbfounded with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
