09 Base Taco. Trying to trouble shoot my ABS and Traction Control lights. They both stay on. Just realized I have no brake lights also. Checked fuse number 4 under the hood for stop lights and number 7 under the dash. Both meter good. How do the larger fuses (number 33) come out? Was also thinking about checking the brake light bulbs. How do I get access to them? Bought the truck yesterday in OKC as is.

    Thanks in advance.

Probably the brake light switch down on the pedal mechanism.

I got the larger fuses out and they meter good as well. Removed the rear light assembly and nothing obvious there. Third brake light doesn't work either. Seems like it's all connected to my ABS and trac control lights on the dash.

    Any suggestions?

I see where the harness plugs into the brake pedal. Is that where the switch is also?

I removed the brake pedal switch and metered it. Seems to be working fine. Put it back together, still had the same issues. Pumped the brakes a few times then the brake lights worked and the ABS and traction control lights on the dash went off. I'm puzzled. I'll read up on disabling the ABS and trac control.

It was the brake light switch...

Trust me. It will cause the ABS and Trac Control Faults as well
