I recently joined the group buy for the hood struts from @RedlineTuning and decided it would be great time to also add the LED lighting kits that @tacodane was providing. Coincidentally they both arrived within days of each other and I was able to get them installed and hooked up the way I wanted.

What's in a kit? It's just a big roll of LED lights that just need to be cut to size and stuck where you want right? NOPE! Dane actually sources the LEDs from the better of the 2 largest LED manufacturers and although they are both overseas he definitely uses the superior brand. Even though the superior brand was chosen the double stick tape that is included is horrible. Dane takes the time to remove the junk tape and add a far better and higher quality tape for the install. He also measures out the right lengths and not only provides super clean terminations and connections he also adds the appropriate amount of loom as well. everything you need to install these is included. You couldn't ask for a cleaner kit for installation. I wired up the bed to be activated when any door is opened and also have a switch to turn off the lights should I not want them triggered with the doors. I had an alarm installed so instead of using a switch for the hood / engine bay lights I wired it to be triggered by the hood pin switch so that as soon as the hood is pooped it turns off. It shuts off promptly as soon as the hood is closed. Easy peasy and just as Toyota should've done it!

Good to know, thanks. I also just got in on the Redline group buy and want to get both of Tacodane's light kits sometime soon.
