Going 45 down that dirt road it's very possible it's a weight or a balance issue

Sure thing, I'll take a look when I get home, I'm hoping that's the only issue

Hey guys not trying to jump in but what is a road force balance? I have a 1.75 lift in the front just to level off the stance of the truck and notice that I have steering wheel shake also. Seems like this topic is covered all over tacoworld in threads, forums, etc. etc. Do you think it has something to do with ANY kind of a lift instead of just stock?? I have a service appt. coming up and im gonna do the tire balance first then the star pattern lug trick. But back to road force, is that something the dealership does??

    Yes sir
It's like a better way of balancing your tire with a computer I believe.

Op, do you have a CB drop kit? I know quite a few guys use them or just spacers on the CB for vibes post lift. Not sure if they're used for 6" lifts though...

I've never had this issue before and I've had the lift well over a year so I don't believe it's a direct lift issue. I was told it was a more in depth form of balancing, local off road shop does it.

Yeah, it's worth a try. I've never had road force balancing, my wheels always balance fine the regular way. What wheels are you running? I know Wheeler's Offroad stopped carrying their steel wheels because of quality issues (including being difficult to balance).

You could always use something to dynamically balance them. Some people use air soft BBs (not the biodegradable ones) or steel shot. In the 37s thread I read that the military tires come with a thick layer of grease in them. Most guys clean it out, but one of the guys left it in and said that the grease acts as a dynamic balancing media. He said his 37s run really smooth that way.

I'm running fuel nutz 20x10 and 35"x12.5 tires. We will see what a good balancing will do

Had same issue on my 1st gen. Don't know if its related but turned out to be a bushing (that's what the tech told me) on the driver side stabilizer steering unit. He replace a aftermarket Moog bushing. Been 10 years, wobble hasn't come back.

I had this issue in which the steering wheel would shake during normal driving. After I initially got my tires I took it to a local shop to get the truck aligned. The shaking continued. I finally said f*** it and took it into the dealer 8/23/15. The tires had to be balanced and realigned. The shake of the steering wheel is gone. Toyota dealership managed to correct the issue. He also mentioned feathered tires can create this as well. Hope this info helps
