Newbie here. Been reading some posts on painting/blacking out stock rims. Lots of great info on here about that! I am located in New Brunswick, Canada and wondering if anyone has any experience with painted stock rims and how they hold up against a Canadian winter? Snow, ice, salt, snow and more snow.....
I don't wanna be painting these every spring/summer.

Welcome aboard. Stock painted rims should last several years in our NB climate. The cleaner you keep them in the winter the better. Personally, I prefer the aluminum rims for the ability to clean the wet snow out when we have one of our crappy storms.

Yeah my '06 stock rims are chipping and pealing. Not enough pennies in the piggie bank for new rims. But don't want to paint them only to have them chip after the first winter.

If you prep well the paint should last many years. What kind of paint did you use?
