Hello - My clutch pedal started creaking bad at 9,000 miles on a '15 2.7. I've read a lot about the clutch TSB, but it does not seem to apply to 2015s (yet or officially) so I hoped that Toyota started using the new parts in production but apparently not.
Has anyone out there had the TSB done on a 2015 or dealt with this issue? What a frustrating problem to have on a new truck.
    Thanks!

    It can be two issues.

The first is in the cab. If you can "feel" the creak then stick your head down there and spray some white lithium grease on the plastic on plastic pivot on the clutch pedal.

If it's a squeal outside the truck, its the pivot to the throw-out bearing. Again, find it, and white lithium grease. Let me know if you want pics of the outside fix.

Both these issues happened to me on my '07 and '13. its now apart of my regular maintenance during oil changes, or every 10k ish.

Thanks! This creak is inside, and i can feel it in the pedal especially the top inch of travel. It's a plastic sounding noise; very noticeable. Sounds like cheap piss poor quality which is especially surprising to find on a 2015 given the TSB and known issue. Since this truck is still pretty new I'm trying to figure out if the clutch fix TSB (which sounds like they replace several components) would apply even though Toyota Customer Care says it doesn't come up for my VIN but they were useless. So I'll take it in and try with my local dealer and have the TSB printed out to show them. I really appreciate the advise and I'm sure you guys are right - I don't mind lubing it and I bet that would work or help a lot but if it's a known defect I'd like to get the new parts installed if I can.

Some have done the TSB only to have the sound come back. With the ball and socket type of pivot Toyota uses, I think its inevitable that the sound returns after exposure to time, dirt/dust and the grease dries up.

X2 on the clutch pedal. I had some luck yesterday with a curved tip syringe and MP grease. Just push the tip against the ball and socket interface and work the grease in, then rotate the shaft a bit and repeat. I noticed a small amount of play between the ball and socket so opted with thicker MP grease over spray lithium to fill the void. Like any wear item, if it's creaking it needs lube. Get after it before that poorly placed plastic joint wears too much. Just another addition to the PM list.

My '11 creaks like a SOB, but not enough to bother me, especially with the radio on.
