Judging by how long I usually hang on to a vehicle ( my last truck was 20 years old ), and I'm 60 now and my truck is a 2012. Crap! I probably won't ever buy a new truck again.

    Shit now I'm depressed. :(

I am a little vain. Therefore I would never buy the 3rd gen. That front end is ugly as.....actually I can't even think of a example.
That and I just brought home a 2015 JK Rubicon.:D The JK is in serious competition for mod money.:frusty:

I bought a last year 1st Gen Tacoma - 2004 and drove it for 10.5 yrs. Only reason I traded it was because the wife hated the single cab.

I now have a last year 2nd Gen Tacoma - 2015 - will likely be my last truck.

Got my '15 TRD Sport DCSB, tow, JBL for $30,061. Similar '16 is what $37-38,000 at full sticker? Let's say 37. At 3mpg better highway, even though I average 21.3 as it is, at 15,000 miles a year, rough estimate, I'd save about $260 a year at $3 a gallon with the new one. Not worth it.

I took the plunge and traded my '02 for a '15 TRD PRO. couldn't pass up the trade in dealer offered and drove the Pro home. I'll be keeping this for a lengthy period of time. Love it and the upgrades over my '02.

Same here. I sold my 2004 4Runner last fall and bought a 2015. My wife used it for a shopping run and said she really liked driving it. So my strategy is to get her to trade her car in for a 2016. Then we'll have two. I said it joking but she started asking questions about it and asked what models are available....still, we like her car, a Venza and taking trips in it as we have to do in northern NE where we got 200 inches of snow last year, is better with AWD.

106K when I traded it in, already have 300 miles on the '15. Definitely looking for a shell so I can put my bike rack back on top. The list keeps growing the more I'm on here. Lol

I very specifically wanted a single cab, so I guess I'm stuck until this thing falls apart.

My 2006 is getting old now! But my strong hatred towards all things "car payment" will keep me in it for much longer.

Man. I haven't made a truck payment for 7 years! The 2016 looks promising as a jumping off point for me. Maybe.
