I have a 2012 with stock radio and speakers. When the bass hits on music (at a 0 or higher on bass setting) I get a rattle in the driver side door. I have pinned it down to the black window switch panel. any suggestions on how to silence the rattle? Thanks

I had a similar rattle and raamat ensolite did the trick for me. It took a couple of layers stuffed in there tight to get the switch plate to stop rattling. Any thin insulation foam should work.

Thanks, right now I just folded over a piece of paper and jammed it in the crack between arm rest and window switch plate. It works but looks like crap even though I tore it off small.

The vapor barrier is nothing more than thick plastic sheeting (ie. plastic drop cloth material) - and it audibly vibrates at higher mid-bass levels. This is probably what your hearing. You can either replace it with sound deadner and ensolite or just quickly cover over it with ensolite.

I'm going to check the home roofing and insulation aisle to see if there are any materials similar to ensolite that I can apply over that vapor barrier. I'm ok with paying a little extra for good audio equipment, but I'm not a fan of paying the premium for heavy tar paper, flashing tape and home insulation materials relabeled as vehicle sound deadening, which needs shipped to you.
