I'm trying to get some knowledge on what can be done and what can't. I'm looking at the 13tw5 from JL audio. Looking to get someone to build a box for my truck to fit 3 of these subs and still archive the box space needed to let these subpoena run 100%
I'm also wondering if anybody has these subs in right now and can let me know what they think. I'm asking because I'm coming from a single 12w7 in a ported box ran off a 1000dx jl. I'm scared I won't be happy after investing all this money into a full set up.
For the head unit I might keep the stock en tune but remove cup holders and add another flat screen with an equalizer digital. Or also add a manual eq something slim to go above or below it. Speakers I haven't decided on yet . But that's basically what I have in mind. I want to have all amps and what not Hidden under my back seats in the compartments.

Looks like these subs dont work in ported enclosures and need .8 cu ft per sub in a sealed box. youd be lucky to get enough air space for two of these subs behind the seat, so i would def not try to have 3.

I have a ********* ported 12" sub box with their recommended IDQ sub and it sounds pretty good, but doesnt hit near what my old setup was (2 12" Alpine Type R in huge ported box). Though im happy with it.

sealed enclosures will not satisfy like a ported enclosure, remember that. It wont hit the low notes and move air like a ported setup.

Just slap together a homemade box and throw it on the seat like me. 1 sa8v2 ported on 800 rms. Moves plenty of air. Also fits on floor boards behind front seats

    Zack,

I installed a single 13tw5v1 behind the 60% side of my seats. While it hits hard enough to make my wife ask me turn it down, I am currently looking to buy another one and put that behind the 40% seat. As I wrote to someone else earlier last month if you are a basshead you really are going to want to purchase 2 or more as I think that would fill the cab nicely without having to overpower them.

That's one ugly looking box..lol but I bet that shit bangs..I used to have 2 sa8s they get down and dirty.now I'm running 3 6.5s from sundown. They get loud for bein little subs.OP you should look at the new sundown sd10..one sub in a well built box will always be better then 3 subs crammed into a sealed box.IMAG0860.jpg

Yea i mean it was loudest in my s10, with the windows up and door ajar it would visibly shake the back wall and window of cabin almost half an inch on the decaf'd sail.

Soundqubed.com is amazing for speakers. I have no clue if they will fit your truck bc I have an access cab 99 Tacoma so I can fit anything. Sorry bout your space limits but if you can squeeze an sq speaker, do it. You would barely need 2 btw. 1500w rms 4500w peak. Competition speakers

I can do that as well my twisted sounds 1.8kw has the same board as synergy 150... There's a fresh company that just appeared that has some of the same boards as twisted sounds.. DC sundown.. Amperes lineup as well... New company's called fsd they got a 3800 for sale for like less than 400
