I just drilled a hole in the upper part of the vent and bolted it down using their 1" ball and a 1/4" bolt on the backside. There's what seems like an infinate amount of mounting options.

I see the phone mount is a RAM but what is the brand of the bracket? Thanks.

Youch. It's already possible for pedestrians to hide from me behind my rear view mirror. That thing could block an entire group of people from view. Not a fan, sorry.

Actually you get a better view... What this does is to rise the mirror like this:

***Pics from CVRV Mirror Riser OP***

And if you mount your phone (normally they are smaller than the mirror) you will have a better view than the stock position of the mirror...

    I'll take some pictures later

I just received my Panavise mount today, but without the hook tool used to remove the climate control assembly. Anyone have a recommended substitute for the hook tool?

Use a nylon / plastic spatula along the bottom edge to pop it out.

Thank you for the suggestion. Interestingly, here is the response I received from Panavise when I contacted them about the fact that the hook tool was missing:

    "Thank you for your purchase.

Any auto parts store should be able to sell you a hook tool.

    Thank you,
    Leigh

It's getting frustrating these days dealing with companies who won't stand by their products, or won't make you whole when they don't ship your complete order.

I wanted one of these until a couple people posted in their thread that their windshield cracked after install. Idk if it was due to improper install or what.

The instructions tell you that if you want to adjust the "bar" of the mirror, do it without having the mirror attached, that might have caused it... I've had no problems, been doing a lot of offroad lately and everything's fine!

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I use the Scoshe Magicmount magnetic dash mount. No jiggle, it's at Walmart and it's like $15. Comes with a small metal piece you put in between your phone and your phone case, nothing permanent.
