@ramonortiz55 no, I didn't get the supercharger. I moved back to school, and so I haven't been back on here much at all lately. My money right now is all house/school money :/ But the good news is the seller is loosely holding onto the supercharger for me, and would let me buy it at any time.

Also may be selling my 4Runner to my dad at the end of the school year, so the build may slow down a bit. I'd only sell her to buy an 01 Ford F350 with the 7.3 turbo diesel from my uncle. Looking for some internships this summer and most of which may require me to have a truck

 

Despite the shitty post above, I should update you guys on my truck. I did get the Tundra brake swap done (they're freaking awesome, and not warped!!), and the Taco whip mod. Reception hasn't seemed to have changed at all, but it definitely looks better, and isn't broken like the old shit was. Still have to go pick up my hood strut kit from the FedEx center here in Butte, and finish getting my oh-shit-handle installed on the driver side (Camelback sent me the wrong color).

 

so are you planning to get the 4runner back?

 

If I do sell (at this point, chances are very slim unless I get a guarantee on an internship in the oil fields), it will be staying in the family, so it will definitely be coming back. I also plan on buying my mom's 05 V8 4Runner when she tries to sell it in the next few years, so I'll be sitting on two 4Runners eventually

 

niice. so youll still be modding the 3rd gen even if it's in your dad's name?

My dad has wanted my 3rd gen since day 1. I bought it for $5600, he offered to buy it from me as soon as I got it home for $6500 lol. I know he would have no problem giving me $8k for it now with the Shrockworks and the Tundra brakes, etc. If I lift, I expect I can get 9~10k out of it.

No, it's a custom alternator made by a friend.

It has been redone to handle up to 300 AMPS for my winch

 

Ahhh, makes sense! Nice man I'm sure that was a pretty penny. So is it just a stock alternator with rebuilt internals??

its out of his house. lol he didn't want me to tell anyone about it ... he hooked me up since ive done plumbing work for him for free in the past..

ive done work for him for free cause he rebuilds my starters and alternators when they go out on my cars.

 

he used to do it for a living..retired now.

 

Right on man, always sweet to have a hook up. I know there are a few companies out there that rebuild, but only with a core, which sucks because I daily my 4Runner. I may be going CS144 when I winch.
