    Rgr that. Good to hear you got her back in fighting trim. Probably won't be until the fall before I go again though. I'm done for the summer. ;) Wish you could have come with me to see Todd's (allenfab) truck. Of course, if you had, you might have been taking the 'Runner back off the road to three-link the front. :D His truck is going to be hardcore when he finishes it. Hopefully he'll have it at the next annual Citrus meet. Check out his build thread...

    o_O Wow, I'm not nearly that optimistic. It was pretty sandy soil. I think I can take it now that I'm locked front and rear, but not in 2WD. Maybe I'll be surprised though. :D

    What kind of worries me now though is situations like that second hill that I was denied on. I probably could have made it up that one if I was willing to take body damage to do it, but I had already bumped that fender on a different tree earlier that day and put a nice dent in it, so I decided it was too risky. Now though, with the rear being locked, I'm a little concerned that I might end up way too committed before it takes a slide toward the tree and I'll wind up with a dented cab/roofline which won't be nearly as easy to fix as that fender was. If I had damaged the fender badly enough, I could have just replaced it, which isn't really an option with the cab. :eek:

    I'm not putting the last pic up there to brag...okay, maybe a little...but the OGT made it just a little further than the other two trucks which were on 35s and are both bada$$ trucks in their own right.

    Well, unfortunately, the OGT is going to be parked for a while. I jacked her up to start pulling the old steering rack bushings out and upon routine checking, I discovered that in addition to her hammered driveshaft carrier bearing, shot-out inner tie rods, shanked steering rack bushings, and questionable LCA bushings, she also has a toasted wheel bearing on the passenger side. I've already spent way more than my budgeted maintenance funds on her already this year, replacing the A/C system, the air box, the Idle Air Bypass Valve, the radiator, a front axle seal, rear brakes, and the rear locker, not to mention the current parts I have coming (the tie rods, and the steering rack bushings), the alignment they will necessitate, and the oil change due in December. I'll be lucky if I have her road worthy before the Annual Citrus Meet in February. :pout:
