You have a 2012. It might still be covered under warranty. Take it to the dealer and have them take a look!

BUG-B-GON is sold in most hardware and home improvement stores. Or just make it easy and call in the reinforcements (ORKIN)

Seriously, drive the truck you will not have this problem.

LOL the DMV might also need the spider's information for a proper title transfer.

When I was a kid, I used to explore the dark recesses of my dad's garage and collect whatever critters that I found. Found a gopher snake once, but most were daddy long legs and a few black widows here and there. I put all the spiders in the same giant jar and used to watch them go at it. Some would last a few days and try to stay out of eachother's way. One day I found a little brown fucker like that one and put him in the jar. He immediately bounced around and killed anything living in there within 2 seconds. I released him because he earned it. F-ing gladiator won his freedom.

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
This is definitely a situation that can only be competently handled by your Toyota dealer. They have the specially certified tools and techniques for dealing with this issue. I would NOT trust a private shop and definitely is beyond the skill level of a DIY.

Also, ask to see their shop vac (that is the specialty tool they will be using) and make certain that it has been recently serviced and is certified by Toyota for use on your vehicle. If they can't provide written documentation to that effect then get outa there and find another dealer who can. You might want to call a few dealers first until one of them is willing to fax you over some proof.

Also, be aware that due to the well know "Tacoma lean" an uneven weight distribution like this that far back on the vehicle can really cause an unsafe drivers-side lean. Try to keep your speed under 45MPH and avoid making any sharp turns until you can get it in.

Man I'm really sorry this happened to you. Looks like an otherwise well cared for truck from what I can see. What a shame.

Dammit..... I just got car jacked by a spider. Son of a bitch. I went out to look again and there was a transfer of title form and a pen in the bed. I am going to try and reason with it.

    Too few to list.
Cover the truck up or park it in the garage and use Raid Fumigator (dry fog) = problem solved.

DO NOT TRUST CHRIS4X4. He will use a can of hairspray and a lighter to deal with this issue. I know him and know that is exactly what he'll do. Now this looks awesome but is dangerous, reckless, and may void your warranty.

Thank you for understanding. You seem like you know a lot about this and... well... I am trying not to tear up here. You are making this all that much easier.

Called Toyota and they just screamed again. I dunno man. I think the spider called them first and maybe filed a false claim on me.
