Hey guys, I know Toyota discontinued the TRD supercharger program, but do they still do ecu ref lashing for if you install a kit?

I was looking to pick up a supercharger kit for my 2012 4.0 taco but pickens seem to be pretty small now, Theres a few on ebay but some are like 15k now even. Also wondering where Id pick up the fit kit.

    Anyone got any recommendations?

    Follow the supercharger availability thread:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ilability-update.377700/page-67#post-10636813

There is lots of supercharger talk, but that is where people post the available units, like the one for msrp in Bellevue wa if you get the install there at the dealer, or the craigslist $2500 setup from GA. See the thread for details, it moves fast.

And yes they still flash the ECUs.

The other thread I posted how to get both for $6k.

That is unless Rock Lobster buys them all.

I was just at the Dealer in Fremont who advised me the ECM may not be compatible and I may need to buy a new one????????? It's a brand new 2015 Tacoma Non Flex Fuel. Can this be right or are they ripping me off?
$1906 for the install of the SC alone, not including price of the ECM.... That being said, how long will Toyota be able to reflash the ECM? Per the Bulletin, it states that no ECM Calibration will be made available for any future Model year vehicles... Not sure how to translate that one. 2016+ No more calibrations or no more as of 06/2015?

Your dealer is incorrect, as others have posted similar scenarios and got it done at another dealer. The install price is also absurd. I paid $900. Future model year means 2016 trucks. There is no supercharger for 2016+, and the SC program has been cancelled. Do you have the SC and fit kit in hand?

Yes. I have both. Debating on installing it or returning it back to dealer. Is it worth it? Hmm. 50hp for that much $

68hp. I like it far more with than without.

If you don't want it, sell it and make some money. Don't return it to the dealer.

I've seen 2 members regret it, but most the rest love it. Some how @RockLobster truck was slower after the SC. I wouldn't consider the results typical.
