Hello I'm new to this, I have a question if anyone out there can help me please. I have a 1995 reg can 4x4 Tacoma with the 2.7 3rz-FE. The engine control module (computer) is bad. I also have a 1997 rev cab 4x4 same motor with a bad frame. I was wondering if I could use the engine control module out of it for my 1995?? I also have a 1998 and was told I couldn't use it?

Welcome to the forum. You'll need to use the same year ecu for your 95. Toyota made changes in the ecu's and wiring year to year. You'll need to stick with simular options too i.e. auto or manual trans, 4wd or 2wd, etc. Good Luck.
