Nope, I bought 2 of the inline holders and 4 of the diodes, I wanted to have a couple of spares

    Diodes were $1.35 each

    Inline Holders were $1.74 each

You get a price break if you order more, but only a few pennies

Well, they want me to order 5 holders and 4 diodes.

If anyone needs a holder and diode, let me know. I had to order 4 diodes and 5 holders.

Nice setup. I wanted to go with this N-Fab light bar (without the LED light) as well and mount some mini Amber or yellow lights (still researching as to which) on each end.

How are you enjoying the lightbar and winch setup?

Also, what winch setup is that?

I am confused about the diode. The switch schematic shows the diode installed in a switched ground system, but our 2015s use a switched positive system for hi-lo switching, see my recent H4 thread in tech chat.

I repeated my findings with test points on an H4 extension. That is I stripped a little bit of wire on all three legs of the extension...

Let me get on my pc with the rwal keyboard

Ok, so the pinout on my H4 connector is pictured in this thread. I built this table plugging into the H4 connector on the factory wiring harness with the headlamp disconnected. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/need-confirmation-h4-pinout.386322/

Then I bought some H4 extensions like these:

    http://www.eachbuyer.com/h4-male-to...USD&from=pla&gclid=CJDwtdWzyMcCFZBcfgodAOYDyA

I stripped a bit of wire on each of the three conductors, soldered in test leads and taped everything up so I could install the extension between the factory harness and the factory headlight, and then repeat the testing with the headlight in the circuit, but without having to worry about shorting anything out.

The data is the same. My 2015 uses a switched positive system for the hi-lo headlamps.

You certainly could provide a switched ground with your AoB switch to power your new LEDs out on the Nfab bar...

OTOH your car audio link shows a quenching diode across the coil terminals of the relay rather than inline with the switch. That probably is a good idea given the amount of electronics in our trucks. There may very well be a switching transistor between the switch on the stalk and the head lamp bulb. Cheap insurance for the money.

I am attaching the schematic for my lights in sharpie with where I am going to put a quenching diode in pencil...

no, shortly after I installed the bar I moved the license plate down. I bought a flat plastic holder at Auto Zone and zip tied to the lower grill. I did not think the plate would look right mounted on the bar and also worried that it would be flopping in the wind.

The N-Fab bar is nice. Top quality, good powder coating, solid (no vibration, even at speed) and is mounted like a tank!

It will also support lights up to 9" which is nice because I run 2 Hella 2000 rally lights.

I like the lightbar and light. The winch is a Smittybilt XRC 9.5K, and honestly, I haven't used it yet. I put the rope on, rolled it in, and that was it.

The lightbar has several places to mount various configurations of lights.

    Regards,
    Jon

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. I am still doing some research on how I want my setup.

How did you mount the winch?

    Working on it!
I was wondering the same thing did you use the undercover winch mount? Any issues with the winch or light bar mounted so close together?

    Thanks,
    Nick

The light wire to the HVAC and shifter backlighting is green with white stripe. I would think the seat heater switch wire is the same color. I am going to change mine out this summer and use some that are illuminated. I was going to pull the HVAC panel but sounds like that I do not need to do that.

What winch mount is this? I'd like to combine the other light bar with the U.S. Offroad hidden winch bumper, but am trying to understand how it will all co-mingle.
