Got a quote today on a racecar build... $20k and I'll have a running car that would just need a paint job and interior.... Fuuuuuuu

I've been fine with powder coat. Just touch up with some oil based Rustoleum.

240z with an Rb26 putting out 400hp(yes that's a small number but I'm looking for a fun reliable weekend cruiser. Not a monster).

You can't even make it to a simple beach meet, you gonna drive 4 hours to a off-road meet.?

For sure. I had fun in my 260z with all of 140hp lol! 400 ponies would be awesome.

I know I know. I ain't buying it anytime soon unless I win the lottery but hopefully in a 8months-1year I can take the offer up and get the car built ! Nothing wrong with having a little goal to make working more enjoyable right?

Of course not! I have my own. ;)

But I work towards it and remain well within my base pay and that of my wife's. I like having no debt, being able to pay out of pocket for any contingencies (e.g. my Achilles), and planning very carefully.

Well this upcoming job starting Tuesday is gonna pay off all my debt thankfully ! (Except like $3k). Then I'll only have one minor bill/month as opposed to 6 :anonymous:
Then I plan on getting a new used daily by paying cash(or trading my truck if possible) to remain debt free. Then with the next couple turnarounds I'll be able to save up enough to pay cash for the racecar build while having money in the bank yet too. I'm gonna work my ass off next year. Like from working down here in the fall and spring to doing new construction up north if I need to to stay busy. I have a financial goal I want to reach next year and the racecar will be a gift to myself for the work !

At least that's how its planned in my head.

I got in a hole of debt with my young and dumb decisions and I hate it. I definitely don't want to go into debt again unless its an absolute dire need to live.
