Does anyone know the most recent firmware/update number and how to check whats installed on the unit?

I just updated mine via toyota entune.
Install toyota entune
Turn the ignition to accessory mode
Connect to your head unit via Bluetooth
Hit the Apps button on the HU and you should see "Upgrade" option at the bottom of the HU screen.
Hit that button and follow the instructions on the HU screen.

Call toyota support if you run into issue. They were helpful.
