I'm still waiting on mine. They did agree to the special order (turned an SR-5 DCSB into a loaded TRD Sport DCLB) but it has yet to be allocated a build date. It may be awhile because they have to have all the parts on hand to build first.

Like they're going to run out of navs, moonroofs, and JBL speakers?

I'm guessing the seat heaters in my build wouldn't be a problem for them to work around???

What did they quote you? I am interested to hear what the cost of upgrading third party would be.

You're new, but no need to be a dick. In the "ignore" pile you go.

Haven't yet, and that's got me worried. If it's over $700 I'm keeping the factory seats.

I overheard her tell a salesman a $1,400 figure for a 4-Runner, so I might be keeping the Sport seats. I blew my allowance on everything else.

Then again, charcoal leather with blazing blue stitching would be nice.

My DCLB Sport 4x2 is coming from Baja! I think the previous statement of Double Cabs from Baja apply.

What dealer did you go through? I keep getting the run around to 'come back later'.

Out of curiosity, is yours being built in Texas or Mexico?

I'm more curious for the sake of time time it takes to get from built to the dealership.

I wasn't given that info. I could call and ask, but I'd prefer not to bug the dealer as I already bugged him by going from MT to AT and then attempted to go back to MT before he told me that would delay my delivery by a month :D .

@JE3146 Beaverton Toyota on Canyon. The only one who seems to know anything about the '16 Tacoma is their Inventory Manager (PM me for her name if you're interested). Andrew, their Sales Manager, can probably help too.

I know someone who works there, and they claim that they require a non refundable deposit. Was this your experience?

Well, because of my specific/special build order (no planned allocated builds of my requirements on the entire west coast), they said they don't offer refunds on deposits ($1000, by the way). But, I said that I won't do it without the ability of a full refund and they reluctantly accepted. (Putting down a non-refundable deposit of $1000 is something I would never do... especially without even seeing or test driving the vehicle yet. I would have easily walked out at that point.) The Sales Manager wrote "$1000 deposit is refundable" with his initials on my purchase agreement. Overall, I'm happy with everything so far from the two I worked with.

Where did you see the work done...at their place in Pflugerville? (assuming you're still in Austin). I'm not getting a '16, but that is the one thing my '15 isn't going to have that I really want when I pick it up.

I saw it on a car they'd done. Beautiful custom job, with houndstooth center panels. Solid, too.
