I am excited for it however I'm torn. I'm going to be trading in my 2013 bmw 328i for either a 2015 TRD off road or a 2016... I am unsure yet

It's only 16 mpgs until you start modding it. Then it all goes down hill......

I got a 2004 Tacoma v6 auto(stock) and I get 20mpgs,its a Daily driver and 11 years old:thumbsup: my assumption was with all the new technologies I figured the 2016 Tacoma would get better mpgs in its stock configuration.

It would be nice if it did. I guess I just wasn't expecting that much from the new modle. I'm just glad the inside is finally catching up on technology!

You guys need to realize he was only looking at the computer avg. after a short amount of driving involving a lot of slow stuff with a heavy foot. Its not a realistic representation of anything.

Doesn't matter what the actual mpgs are, the reality is that if you are a TW member those numbers will fall over time. There's just no denying that fact.

Honestly, I think the new tranny and the better drag coefficient of the new shell would allow the current 4.0 to get similar numbers as far as mpg. I am hopeful the new engine is just more refined and smoother, reason they went with it.

I fully expect to get 16 mpg with 3 inch lift and AT 285s when I have mine.

Yep! It's just a matter of time before you find some mod on here that will change your aerodynamics or and extra weight to the truck or something that will lower your mpgs.

Don't deny it, you've already been eyeballing some nice upgrades on here. ;)
