just had my exhaust re-routed for my skids and was wondering if yall thought they took the pipe a little close to the transmission before they bent it across. i have about an inch between them. is it a big deal? maybe wrap it in some exhaust tape?

i wouldnt do any wrapping... shit traps in moisture and causes rust.

If you are worried a lil heat shield goes along way. But that should be plenty of room especially that far back in the exhaust system.

oh i know... but for 80 bucks hell. i went around and checked for any air leaks when they finished and just finished painting them to stop rust.

I dont know much about welding but i think he jusy used a TIG welder. (Isnt that the one that doesnt use gas?) the one where the cable comes out of the little gun looking thing.

Do you mean flux? Flux doesn't use gas and produces butthole looking welds.

I have ATO skids all clears good. With any standard exhaust shop never really going to have good welds.

Argon isn't strictly for tig welding.
