Just as the tittle says.... I came outside and noticed something peeking out under the car.

I know the obvious, it is not my rear diff breather clearly (that is original and not modded). I know that I popped the hood and see the two stock little breathers there, clipped into there home.

But here I am at a loss and my searches are coming up dry, aside from a possible breather at the shifter?? I crawled underneath and right behind where the drive shaft is connected coming from above the tranny is this long black hose with a mesh protector and what I believe is a breather type fitting. Aside from tucking it away, ideally would like to find where this had originally been clipped into or laid rest on.

Any help would be great, I will add a pic as soon as I am home if needed.

fyi you also have trans and tcase breathers. They run up along top of the trans to the bell housing area. looks like one of those came loose on ya.

Thank you for the reply and information. I tried feeling on top of the trans for a clip of something and cant seem to figure that part out. I suppose it is safe to say I can just tuck it away up there away from all moving parts?

IIRC that should clip to the firewall by the brake booster, next to the breather from the front diff.

    Nope.

the two by the brake booster on the driver inner fender well are the front diff case, and front diff actuator respectively. The diff actuator has the smaller tube of the two.

tcase n trans have two breathers that go along the top of the assembly and end close to the top of the bellhousing

That clips to a mount that bolts the trans to the engine block. Top driver's side, above the starter.
