I've scoured the internet trying to see what it looks like with a manual transmission in place of the 6 speed auto. Anyone come up on any?

One can never have too many light bars.
The journalists who were invited to Seattle to test the new Tacoma said that they didn't have any of the manuals available to test. So you may have to wait until the dealers take delivery or Toyota posts them on their website.

There is one photo floating around of the Gen 3 manual on one of the many Gen 3 bitching threads. It looked good to me.

It's a sunglass holder, it's in the users manual.. That spot seems to be turned into a sunglass holder if you don't have the Offroad auto with crawl control and multi terrain select. The manual offroad gets the atrac exclusively along with locker.

The crawl control used in the Taco does not work with an auto....the computer needs to control the shifting to both use engine braking where necessary and release it in slippery conditons to maintain steerage...why make two different systems for a cheaper vehicle ? Any of you who go down hill in low gear with a manual on ice, know you often have to disengage the transmission and clutch it to keep from loosing control. This allows your wheels to "free wheel" and maintain steerage. At these times, only the abs should be controlling your speed, not your transmission which cannot pulsate your wheels. With an auto, you either up shift or put the trans into neutral, both of with the computer is free to do with an auto.

I'm just pointing out that the sunglass holder is in place where the crawl control and multi terrain select modules would be.

The Crawl Control is exclusive to the Offroad models with automatic transmission only. It works like a cruise control for crawling at low speed speed giving the computer full control regulating transmission and braking system up, down, and over terrain.

I must say I like what I assume is the body color trim around the radio and HVAC vents.
