The Tacoma Wave

There are two red Tacoma's that live by me. One is almost identical to mine even the rims the other is just stock but my year and they both wave back whenever I see them around but that's it haha

 

I wave at every tacoma i see. Then again i've only had my truck for a few months and am still in the honey moon phase. My girlfriend laughs at me everytime I wave and don't even get a second glance, haha but fuck it. I am just happy to see some more good looking tacoma trucks in the heart of dixie.

 

They do that in GA too, but mostly in the south part of the state with pretty much all small towns and farm communities. Some will raise their hand to every car they meet on a two lane but definitely every time two pickups meet.

 

I have a 4 cylinder AC prerunner, I just lower my head.

 

My girlfriend makes fun of me. I wave at any modded tacoma I see. Most of the time if they have aftermarket bumpers I notice so those are the ones.

Yesterday I got stoked because somebody legitimately changed lanes and slowed down just to check out my truck and give me a thumbs up and it made my day. Girlfriend thought it was the stupidest thing to get excited about but hey, I put a lot of money and work into my truck and like the community.

 

The first few months I had mine I would lift a finger or two when I saw a Tacoma coming the other way (came from driving a Jeep) but stopped after never getting a response. I have gotten waves from other truck drivers (any brand) in states like Kansas and Iowa. That seems to be a thing there.

The interesting one to me is I drive a dual sport motorbike now and again and sport bike riders will wave, but never a Harley rider. No way. Aint gonna happen.
