    It seems like the smart thing for both parties is for Toyota to sell the rights to magnuson. Toyota gets money, magnuson can still make money selling and producing the part and Toyota could offset the cost of being federally required to support the part for 10 years.

    True, though that FJ kit should be able to be made to work if you do the install (assuming it is still available).

    Worst case senario is you sell them both together for much more than you paid for each individually.

    I am waiting on a response from a source of mine, to see if he is willing to make the two most necessary parts of the fit kit. The thermostat spacer and the belt bracket/tensioner assembly.

    I already mentioned this, as well. Haven't heard if anyone has looked into the availability of the 4Runner or FJ fit kits though?

    That is just a simple question to ask. Everyone has been asking about Tacoma fit kits. Someone should ask about those.....

    The FJ kits are scarce too, haven't heard anything on the 4Runner that would be good to checkout. I posted where some FJ kits were still listed as 'in stock' earlier. Not sure if anyone tried ordering.

    My source said that he will look into the viability of making the parts I mentioned, and get back with me.

    What all comes in the fit kit besides those parts? Main things. Not nuts and bolts.

    Im sure Toyota owns all of the tooling to make those superchargers so they won't be able to use it without their permission. However they could get around it if they slightly altered the supercharger to use different tooling to make essentially the same product to accomplish the same task, but it probably would not be worth it from their prospective to do that. But one can always hope :pray:

    Why would your friend need to make those parts? They are not in the fit kit. Both those parts are in the main kit. I posted a pic of what's in the fit kits.

    I don't think there was a fan boy stampede.
    I believe a lot of people had planned on getting them. I picked my truck up in November and planned on buying at tax return time this coming year. But TRD discontinuing it, pushed people to buy now. I had other stuff I wanted to do first but had to buy now.

    "The fit kit is basicaly the heat exchanger and brackets. The items on this list of the fit kit that may cause you issues are:

    The replacment bracket that holds up the radiator support.
    bracket for the intercooler surge bottle.
    wiring harness for the intercooler pump."

    That is what is stopping people from installing this kit? :facepalm: This is Tacoma World. With all of the innovators on this website, there isn't a single person that can just do a simple DIY for those part? Seriously.......?

    Well, he's looking into the brackets now. As those are much easier.

    There are some that don't have the time or skill to make the brackets. I understand that. For those that can, there are enough people on this forum that can pull together, take pictures, and make things happen.

    Or we wait for my source, to hopefully make a bolt-on product. Of which are always high quality.

    The heat exchanger is the main of the fit kit. Then you have the hood support backet/ coolent res bracket (if your truck has atrac that bracket is in the main kit)wiring. All this stuff can be picked up else were and made to work.

    I'm not even going to be using the factory coolent Rez. I'm having a friend make me one that is bigger and made out of aluminum. Then in a few months I'm going to replace the heat exchanger with a bigger core and a better pump.

    TRD Supercharger, 3" lift, 33" AT BFG's, V1 Radar Detector, Python 5906P Remote Start.
    Well I got my S/C installed. Only big problem I had was getting the crank pulley bolt off! I had to use a 1,100ft lbs impact wrench to break it lose. Thank god for friends. Waiting to reflash Monday now.
