    Gentlemen, Ladies,

I was fortunate enough to secure a lottery ticket from my J-O-B organization to drive the Denali park highway on 19 Sept. Since I have loads of self-dignity, and executive rights, I deemed my wife's CRV unworthy of the task, and the TACO has picked up the responsibility.

With that said I see an opportunity. An opportunity to trick out the taco - safari style.

    Looking for suggestions boys!

Extra fuel can? Jerry can? rotopax?

    air compressors?

    Tire repair kits?

I have a topper on the truck, usually utilized for crashing for a few hours on suicide fishing runs. already have a well-used airbedz in that. so I don't really think mounting anything in the bed of the truck will work well. With that in mind im looking forward to your suggestions.

    - Cheers

some way to carry fuel and repair tires is a must for me. Beefing the skids and the rear springs is a good idea as well. Not sure if youre lifted but you can go many places without a lift. That time period is at the end of the "summer" so snow shouldnt be a major concern. When I was there a few years back, there was snow when I got there but I didnt snow the remaining weeks of sept.

arb tire repair kit, spare hoses and belts, not rotopax, scepter cans or nato cans are best. Compressor is awesome, co2 is cheap.

I grew up in WNY, so besides the road closing I am not overly concerned about winter driving conditions, maybe an emergency set of tire chains would be apt.

The arb tire repair kit is certainly on my list before the trip, although I should have purchased years ago.

Any proprietary mounting systems for fuel can that you can suggest?

I am partial to the compressors that mount inside of the engine compartment.

I would stay away from proprietary mounting systems, they are not very versatile. I carry 2 or 3 5gal scepters, they do not leak, they don't rust, they are $$ but worth the money IMO. I have 1 mounted on the bumper and carry 1 or 2 in the bed if necessary. I have an CKMA12 compressor from ARB works great. My issue with rotopax is they are about the same cost as scepter and require special mounting, they also have a lot of corners and edges which in my mind doesn't seem as solid but thats just opinion.

I have this compressor (ARB CKMA12) mounted in my engine compartment. It powers my locker just fine, I also got the tire inflation kit for it. It comes with a very nice wiring harness, super easy to wire up.

    Full link for the compressor.

I would absolutely love to grab the this compressor. I will have to wait until a good deal comes around. Simply too expensive brand new.

    Cheers!
