So I think in the 11th hour I have decided on a change. The Inferno color has looked really good on the videos and pictures but EVERYTIME I see it in person it looks way to orange. Not even a red just orange. I just got rid of an orange jeep to purchase this Taco and I don't want anymore orange. I think i'm going to go with Barcelona. That takes away the orange paint and the hideous orange dash trim piece. Thoughts anyone?

Well, if you don't want an orange vehicle anymore and you don't like the orange trim pieces, I would recommend you not get the orange Tacoma.

Insightful...I just wish they would sell it as an orange not a red. That was my point. But thanks for your help

I've never heard inferno referred to as a red. I've seen 2015 Tacoma and Tundra TRD Pros in Inferno in person, and they were definitely about as orange as it gets. Like Jersey Shore orange. I like it, but I'd have to black out the grill and badges.

When looking at the Inferno Tacoma in pictures it does look cool, but after seeing two orange vehicles close up recently (Jeep Renegade, BMW X1)I personally could never live with that color. If you enjoy a ton of attention then maybe it's the color for you. The Barcelona Red is not my favorite red either. I wish they would have either gone with a radiant red or full burgundy. The Barcelona has a weird cranberry hue in the sunlight. If it was between red or orange right now I would likely take the red though. I won't make a decisions on color until I see them all in person on the dealer lot. Luckily for me all I have to do is go into my back yard and peer over the fence. The dealership is about 150 feet away.

Does the inferno red always come with the orange trim piece?

Only in the TRDs. Granted I'm not sure Inferno is available in other configurations.

Can't think of a worse vehicle color than orange. Especially burnt orange, and I live in Austin...sigh...

I don't think there's anything wrong with the color per say, but I think folks should be aware that it is in fact orange and not red like it looks in a lot of the photos and videos.
