    Save your money man and forgo the dent repair and put it towards a roof rack if you really want one.

    The rubber strip came loose while under warranty on my 2009 and put some real small dents in the roof. I did not notice until 2 months later while standing on my atv on the trailer. I took it to the dealer and explained that the rubber strip came off at the front and beat on the roof before I could pull over. They said no problem and called a paintless dent dude. A lot easier than I thought it would be.

    Funny. Well, not really. But I got a 2010 and a 2014, both new, and both had dents on the roof that I didn't notice until about three weeks after I got the trucks. Yeah, yeah, it coulda been me- they would probably say. I didn't even bother taking them in. The dents were barely noticeable, but definitely dents. One looked like someone took a half inch wide chisel or screwdriver and brought it straight down on a corner of the roof. The other looked like it got hit by a golf ball on the opposite corner. Two different trucks, both brand new. I'm about 102% certain that the dents were on the trucks when I picked them up.

    image.jpg Same issue on my 2015....didnt notice till I got home after purchase. Shop guys must have leaned on it while detailing it. Surprisingly Dealer repaired with no questions. From what i heard, they had to take the rear window out to repair and wound up breaking the glass. Took an extra day to wait for new window.

    Nothing much. I haven't been bitten by the mod bug. A little plasti dip. And a set of Wet Okole seat covers with gun pouch.

    He doesn't appear to be leaning on it, me. Why are you rushing to blame the buyer? If he had dented his own roof I think he would have seen it. His hands appear to be near the very back.

    I had the same exact experience when I bought my truck. I never thought about looking at the roof before buying. Being vertically challenged didn't help out when looking over the truck but I was able to luck under the truck with ease. :p I noticed my roof dents the same day I bought it so I was able to call them right away and alert the dealership. They were cool about it and were able to pop them out. It looks less noticeable but you can still see the imperfections. Hopefully the dealership will work with you. Good luck brah.

    Bummer OP!Honestly i don't think the dealer is going to do anything about it except suggest some form of repair.Looked at it as your Tacoma has some more added character to it now.Good luck!Plus vehicle roof are not as strong as they once were and its been this way for quite sometime now.

    Heres a little hope for you, at my last house we have a large awning cover to park under, well we usually use a car as a step to climb on top of it, well my truck was conveniently parked next to it and my roommate was pretty drunk, hopped on the roof, and was about to hoist himself on the awning until I was red in the face and screaming for him to get off because I could heart the crinkling of sheet metal, well it was a pretty bad dent. I went inside and punched the dent back through. This was 6 months ago, I looked this week and there is no dent anymore, I think the heat popped out what little crease there was left.

    Also pdr does wonders so itll be a cheap fix most likely as long as its not in a corner or creased, which from what it sounds like, it is not.

    My sons car had a few dents caused by baseballs. I bought a dent puller from Harbor Freight and pulled them myself. The puller cost @ $15.00 and was very easy to use. It uses hot glue and as long as the dent isnt on a ridge my Grand Children could do it, They did pull one dent, It was their baseballs

    Still waiting on response from dealership. The manager and my sales rep both have an email from me. I emailed them Thursday, no response yet. The dealership I bought it from is an hour away from where I live and their service center is closed on weekend, so it's a real pain in the ass for me to just go there and show up without knowing somethings getting resolved for the trip out there.

    I keep forgetting to take pictures, because I'm kind of trying to forget it so I'm not stressing about it. I'll get some up later today though.

    LOL dude thanks for giving me the courage to punch my 2015 truck. I finally said f$%k it, went in the back seat and gave it a couple nice punches from the inside of the cab. It popped right out and can't even tell it was there! I'm so thrilled right now!!=

    To others following, sorry I never posted any pics... was rather sour about it, so just had to forget about it for a while. I had emailed the dealership and never got a response, didn't really expect them to do anything unless they felt like being super nice, which from their lack of response I guess they weren't feeling obliged. And now it's too dark to take a picture of it fixed, but the contour and everything is fine.

    ALL BETTER :bananadance::bananadance::dancingbacon::thumbsup:

    If anyone finds this thread because they have similar dent, just give it a couple jabs from the inside and it should pop out easily.

    Honestly once I saw how easy it popped out with a couple love taps, I wouldn't be that suprised if my scrawny ass may have dented it (but no seriously I barely was touching it)
    I didn't even see this pic until now, that's the exact same spot mine was.
