Hi, I am new to Toyota. I was a Ford guy OK and now I am over that. Too much rust!!

OK so I joined All'Ya'All here as I am looking at an SR5 Tacoma. However, I have seen an SR5 4Runner that kinda looks the same as a Tacoma does. This begs the question: Are all SR5's the same as far as the frame, engine, and drive train?? Yes, I do know the body style is different.

Thanks in advance for answering my nebie question(s).

Sr5 is basically an interior package upgrade. However if you opt for a TRD version there are multiple differences that are a must for off roaders, like rear locker etc.

But yes engine, drivetrain, and frame would all be the same sr5 or not, but also take into account if you're looking at base models/5 lugs/ or 6 lug trucks.
