So who has the best offer or quote on the new tacoma?

I understand the demand for the new truck and most believe that dealerships aren't willing to budge....BUT...I feel that this is just preconceived marketing hype...to a degree... In the end, as the consumers, we should have the final say. There is obviously room to negotiate on any new vehicle. Dealerships want to sell you a car as sales numbers matter...they can use the..."if you don't buy it someone else will...." I agree....but, they still want you to buy the truck and they can always order more. They act as if these trucks are in limited supply.

Anything is possible if you approach a deal the right way. You are the consumer and You are in control. I know that there are some savvy members in here and interested to see who's gotten the best deal on these new trucks. I'm seeing some folks claiming that they are pretty close to invoice....others are bending over and letting the dealerships have their way with them....40k? Yes please!!!...really? Come one guys...you know better than that.

Let's see these offers/quotes and your negotiating skills...this will also give others interested more arsenal when they visit their local Toyota dealership.

I just left my local Toyota dealer. They are going to order me a 2016 TRD OR DCSB for $1,000 under msrp.

They gave me a great trade quote too which is really what sold me. I went in with detailled knowledge of my trade value which got me an extra 2k.

As I mentioned in another discussion previously if you are in Northern California go talk to Sunnyvale Toyota in the Bay Area. I went last Saturday to put my $500 deposit down after prices went live in their system on Friday. I live 2 hours away from them but they were the only dealer I could find willing to work with me. I have to wait up to 12 weeks for my truck (unless they can adjust an incoming truck) but I am getting a 2016 Trd Sport DCSB 4x4 AT blazing blue pearl with graphite/gunmetal interior, tonneau cover, roof rack, mudguards, all weather mats and door sill, and tow package for $750 over their invoice. Msrp on the truck is $36,648 and I am paying $34,550 including destination charge. So, basically I am getting all of my add ons for free. Someone else has already PM'd me, contacted them, and got the same great deal. Feel free to message me and I will get you the contact information of the guy I went through. He was absolutely awesome to work with.

If people could post the cities they are in that would be helpful also.

Awesome job Mizark. One of the better deals that I've seen. Your deal proves that there are dealers willing to negotiate. Often times, people are too quick to buy into dealers strategies. I understand the car is fresh...new model...etc....but im seeing too many people going out to dealerships like children... Or they just simply lack negotiating skills.

My goal is to negotiate a 2016 OR dbl cab short bed with tech and tow for around 35k. I own a 2015 OR with 2k miles and shooting for 32k trade in plus an additional 8k down. It was my first financed vehicle and I had just purchased my first home at the time. If I can get a better interest rate plus additional down payment, I may he able to upgrade at little to no extra cost, when it's all said and done. I plan on negotiating the deal first then I will make my final decision as I'm not quite certain if I will even make the trade. I need to have some one on one time with the 2016...if ya know what I mean.

What is the $750 in the invoice column?
    What is DR?
    What is CT?

    Thanks

It's the 750 over invoice that he mentioned in his post.

Not sure what the CT or DR stand for.

DR is the roof rack and CT are the all weather mats and door sill combo. That is the exact same combo I got for my truck. The only difference between Mavric31 and mine is the color. He got super white and I got the blazing blue pearl.

Yeah, that $750 is the price over invoice on the Tacoma. I still can't believe that the deal is real. Maybe it's not.

I thought the same thing Mavric31 when he came back after asking what deal they could give me on the truck. When he told me $750 over invoice I was in shock. No haggle...no hassle. This is what it is. I even asked the lady who quoted him the price if that was right. She reassured me it was real because the truck is not gonna sit on the lot. Remember, a few months after selling the truck they will get a 2% holdback payment from the invoice as a bonus for selling the truck. They will get an extra payment of approx $690 + the $750 over invoice. They just made that amount twice between us without hassle. Besides the more they can sell the more they can secure in allocations in the future.

LOL You Too looking to trade a 15 for a 16? My dealer said it would not cost $10K plus my truck to buy a Limited..which is good because I really want a TRD Sport DCSB like I have with premium and tech.....4x4 optional

I had $12K put aside for the 16 Mazda Miata. But my 12 is actually better on many ways, so I turned to the Tacoma. Will not spend close to that much on a 16,

Ordered my truck. Paid a bit for it, but apparently they aren't sending any OR to my area.

Did you pay full msrp? If so...you could have done better than that. I would go ahead and cancel the order and tell them to call you when they can offer you a better deal. The dealership wants your business and definitely would rather give you a better price than to lose a sale/customer.

He offered me a better deal on a TRD Sport but I didn't want it. Mind came with some extra stuff I couldn't get off of it either. Came with the exterior package including Tube Steps, Bed Extender, Spare Wheel Lock, and Exhaust Tip. That is a 1000 dollar package. Also added on was the tow package for 650, wheel locks, and floor mats. My salesman took 1300 off MSRP for me. I am not sure if I could have gotten a better deal. The salesman is best friends with my cousin. He basically said there wasn't much he could do because it was the OR model.
