When I swapped the front end one of the things I neglected to to was re fasten the hood struts. At the time I didn't have a rivet gun so I just drilled out the hardware & saved it.
Today I took the time to reinstall the hardware and since I was under there anyway I finally installed the anti-dark hood lighting kit.
Suckers pretty bright and was crazy simple to hook up.

 

Looks good .....I found the rivets 20mins after you left.

Did you ever give any thought on relocating the Remote reservoirs on the 2.0 rear shocks? I was under the truck today installing wire for my popalock and it looks like a rock could smash the shit out of them.
Didn't know if you or anyone else had any problems.

 

I'm still running the billy 5100 B-110's on the rear in the stock locations.
Not a problem I've got.

I'd eventually like to follow in Ant's footsteps and do an inboard /\ setup.

 

Parked in the sun and took off all the die cut vinyl today. Time for a change.

Hey Craig, I just realized you have a Leer XQ and an RTT setup. Is that mounted on the Thule racks? Any issues with the RTT weight on the Leer? No strees cracks/fractures or other issues? This is exactly the setup I am considering for my '15. I just found a used XQ in pristine condition with the Thule rack for a screaming deal (except the wrong color, but I'll have it color-matched).

 

I think you are right. I just dug a bit deeper and saw those earlier posts. I've wanted to put on RTT (that I don't need yet) on a cap (that I don't have yet), and I've been agonizing over cap rooftop load capacities for these long-term plans. Mom and dad in the teardrop, kid(s) in the RTT (once they can deal with it safely).

Although his XQ is a short bed, which is likely stronger because of the reduced span between front and back cap pillars, and mine would be a long bed. But this is encouraging.

Zero issues with the setup. The PrInSu caprac is mounted to the factory Thule rails and is a stronger setup than the standard cross rails. I used the Thule cross bars with the RTT for quite a while though. I like the Caprac better because the tent sits lower on the cap and it offers a ton of adjustment & mounting options.

Likewise, I was concerned about height for the sake of aerodynamics/drag and also garage clearance. I have been looking at Prinsus and finally saw one in person the other day in front of....your place of employment Impressive piece of hardware.

But I'm bone stock on the 15, and a cap, suspension, and tires are a wee bit higher on the list.

So where's my 2015 Homersoshi? Silver Sky Metallic, remember? I think I've been very patient.
