I have the same issue. My RTT is right on the roof line and I can only use one of the rod. As you can see my profile pic. I just left the other one alone. Option is to drill a hole, but still contemplating.

Put the RTT back on the truck yesterday and let it air out. After not using it for a few months, it got me really pumped for some upcoming trips.

I finally joined the club and picked up a @TepuiTents Ayer this weekend on my way down to camp with some friends in near San Luis Obispo. Had Ricardo and the guys over at the Tepui warehouse do the install for me since I was driving straight down to the campsite and didnt want to worry about having to install it properly. I can't say enough about how nice everyone at Tepui was. After using the tent this past weekend, I am in love with this thing and can't wait to get out more and camp.

Looks really good! Did you mount it with Relentless bars? That height/setup is exactly how I wanted to do mine when I gets the monies

Yup. Its 2x Relentless Tall (+4") bars. I am running the kb voodoo side rail caps so there was a gap between the side rail and the bed bars. From @DoorDing's suggestion, I just made some shims with 5/8" plywood I had laying around.

Made a desicion on my rack issue. Gonna go with the same rack my buddy has from cruisin off road. Got some steel pricing and I can't diy one cheaper. I'll deal with the tool box issue by maneuvering the tent around and worst case I'll only run the tent when I'm going on a trip(company forklift ftw)

    FB_IMG_1440861118535_2994fd9de1fc0cbd1f0f4508f530ea05e260f88e.jpg

Fingers crossed I can get it all together within the 3 week timeline :)

You should be fine.. If Think the measurements were 10 inches on each side of my Kukenam being centered on the bed. Just be aware if your gonna have the RTT on the stock rails I'm sure the plastic will cave in like mine is doing. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about it yet, most likely fill the gap under the plastic with metal plate.

The two bars are connected by a piece of angle to spread out the weight. Really think they'll collapse?

I think he means the side rails on the truck bed (the plastic caps). There is about a 1/2" gap between the top of that plastic cover and the metal on the side rail (underneath) so if you have enough weight on those plastic caps for long enough, they'll probably cave in at some point. I swapped mine with the kb voodoo side rails so I don't have to worry about that problem

Yea I understand that part.. i was just thinking the angle linking the bars of the rack would distribute the weight a little better than say just individual bars. But I'll definitely look into the KB Voodoo rails. Just sucks the canadian dollar blows so hard right now
