Oh well mall crawler status then go for it...haha. Seriously though, close to 40k can buy a lot with that kind of cash. You can buy a nice lt ranger if you just want a desert runner for cheap. I'm going with a tundra because I want to fit the fam more comfortable and still be able to wheel/camp with everyone.

Sounds good! My dad had an 01 when I was in high school, loved that thing, he has a 2010 now and I love how it drives also.

Never a ford!!!! Tundra or Silverado/Sierra only. Besides I'm way ahead of myself, got a wedding to pay for next year and haven't even started my taco build. But mark my words that will be my dadmobile.

    Did you say Horse power?
We have an 07 2500 4X4 with the Duramax and the Allison tranny, lifted with 20" Open Country M/Ts on it. The thing is awesome! Like they said, too big for most trails but for pulling a trailer you can't find anything better.

I have a 3 horse slant trailer. With three horses, gear, food, water, etc, it weighs in at 10,000 pounds and I can't even tell that it's behind me. It's not really a truck, it's as tractor.

Wheeling is a totally different thing. Way too big, and way too much torque (650 pounds). Tends to break loose just by thinking of touching the gas.

Definitely if mama let's me have some free time!

Leaving to Tahoe Wednesday until Sunday or Monday so it'd be a pair of weeks for me at the earliest. San Jose sometime at the end of Sept or early Oct, other than that I'll be around town.
