Rear Add a Leaf Questions

    Okay, I know I'm going to be using a rear Add a Leaf (AAL) to lift the rear of my 2011 sclb. More specifically this AAL

    My question is. With this AAL the rear of the truck will gain 2 inches of lift. Should I get a longer set of stocks for the rear? What would be a good shock to go with? I'm not looking for form so much as function. I'm not going to get remote resi shocks. Leave your recommendations for any shocks around $60-$70.

    If you want more load handeling (like i did) go for the single AAL

    if you want a cushier ride go with a progressive AAL.

    As far as shocks, you can not necessarily run longer ones as the compressed lengths will be longer than needed and thus you will bottom the shock before hitting bump stop. That stated a proper shock will compliment the AAL, so a standard length 5100 or Old Man Emu rear shock will be good

    I would also pay a little more and go through wheelers off road for their single 2in AAL, mine is real nice.

    Bilstein 5100's w/ Eibach coil overs in front (set at 3" of lift). Front diff drop kit. Extended Bilstein 5100's in the rear. Deaver 2" AAL in rear w/ axle shims. 285 x 75 r 16 Goodyear Duratracks. Wheelers steelies type B, AFE cold air intake. Sway bar delete. All Pro Apex front bumper (rattle canned Rustoleum primer + flat black). Plasti-dipped emblems. Mud flaps removed.
    I have the single 2" aal from toytec (deaver is the brand I believe) with the 5100's and it takes some serious weight to squat now. Its fairly stiff for a DD but I can drive around with a snowmobile in the bed like its nothing.
