    Enjoy it while it lasts. Mine used to sound like that but now they moan like a banshie. They don't lift as well anymore either. They still hold up the hood but need assistance raising the hood.

    Installed my Elite struts in May of 2011. They are still under warranty and I exchanged several emails with their customer support. They said it sounds like the seals are drying out but stopped responding when I asked for warranty replacement.

    Not enough...

    Don't think its an exclusive problem. These gas cylinders stop working sooner or later. I've replaced them on my X3 before and had to replace them on my shell. The ones on the shell barely hold any weight.

    So I installed this the other day and have a slight issue. The drivers side went perfectly and installing the passenger side went great.

    Problem: Passenger side will not close due to the Volant CAI Box...

    I searched this thread and only found these two people that had aftermarket intake systems. I like my Volant with the Ram Air and really do not want to modify the box or intake set-up, so I am asking if anyone else has run into this problem and what was your solution?
