    Rick, its a 70qt. 27x16x16". Pretty nice size for an overnighter. I also have a 60qt. little smaller, but taller. I figure if they share the cooler, the 70 should be enough. If they want their own, they can use both.

    OK...:) Let me throw this at Satin about sharing a cooler or using both and see what she says... That would mean I only need to pick up sleeping bags for 4 peeps... and maybe air mattresses if Satin needs them...:D

    @Pelfreybilt Satin?...back to you!:)

    The main trail to the campground is about an hour. There are several other trails and it really depends on how many people are wheeling on them that day.

    I've hit all the trails and gone back to the parking lot in about 4 hrs. I've also spent an entire day trying to get a bunch of novice drivers and a completely dead vehicle off the trails and down the mountain.

    Weather changes everything too. It can be clear sky's over most of the island and pouring rain up there, and vise versa.

    I've also gone from the campsite to the parking lot in just under 30 minutes. It's all in how fast you drive.

    HA HA you're funny! Sleeping bags are fine for one night... I'll suck it up & take one for the team! ;) As for the cooler-we have no clue about how to get one other than renting via your source, so you decide & let us know-we can borrow or rent-your call! :) Keep it simple! :)

    dumb question: would I be able to get on someones permit, if I was just going up on Saturday? I don't think I'll be able to go to town to get my permit in person, and the 10 day wait time + labor day holiday makes me think my permit wouldn't get to me in time...

    Cubiclesurfer just needs to fax in that permit form. I got mine mailed back to me in two days. Fax it tomorrow and you'll get it mailed back to you probably by Saturday or Monday. The girl called me back right after I faxed it to get some info that I forgot and told me she was putting it in the mail already. So easy, even Dana did it.

    ok, will do. I just figured since it's a state thing, and it says "allow 10 business days" that it would actually take all 10 days. i'll fax it in tomorrow.

    I guess they give that "10 days" to give them some breathing space. I've always got mine within a few days. You'll get it. You can call them after you fax it to see if they got it too.

    Wow... bunch of post while I wasn't looking.. looks like you got the tents and the coolers covered.. I have an extra 2-4 man, and an extra small cooler... gonna have my larger fishing cooler with me..

    Getting stoked... gonna run into work on Friday morning for a couple hours then leave... gonna head up Friday with some friends (jeep rubicon). They can't stay Sat night, so they will follow whoever out Sat evening and me and the family will do a 2 night..

    I "should" be fine if it's not raining, but have him to pull if need be..

    Count down!!!!
