I see Bora spacers come in 3/4" and 1" thickness. I'm all for using as thin as is possible, so I like the 3/4". With Toyota TRD Off Road wheels (16") will the 3/4" spacers work, or are the lug studs too long? What is your opinion of Bora products? (Quality?) Looking to clear 285/75/r16's on a 2011 Tacoma OR.

Truck is lifted (just over 3" in front end/1-1/2" in rear) I had a set of 285's on same rims (off someone elses truck) and they "cleared" if you wanna call it that. They cleared upper control arms by less than 1/4" at full lock turn . I've got good fender/chassis clearance, just need to space 'em out a tic. Hope is to NOT space 'em so wide as to create a NEW rubbing issue. As I mentioned, I'm hoping to space 'em the LEAST possible. So you're using 3/4" spacers? Or 1"?

I'll look at the OR wheels. Many wheels have a relief cut in between the boss where the lug hole is drilled. If so, NO issue. Someone suggested grinding the ends of the studs, but taking a mini grinder to something I'd HOPE was in balance doesn't sound like a "plan" if you know what I mean.

I use the 1" spacers for the back. I had Lenny change them up slightly though

I bought two sets Bora spacers,3/4" and 1". I'm just using the 3/4" on the rear now as I still using 1-1/4"g2's on the front. Great quality and customer service from Lenny. The OEM studs are so short that there's reall hardly any clearance issue. The studs on the spacers are pretty long though, they work great with my regular lug nuts but my wheel locks bottom out before the touch the wheel. But not a big issue.

I just purchased a pair of 3/4'' spacers, and the stock studs are too long to work with my aftermarket 18's without cutting down the studs.

Really? Are they multi lug pattern wheels? I can't imagine cutting the OEM studs even shorter.

Yes, they're the Moto Metal 970 which I believe is 6x139 and 6x5.5 on my hub.

That's why there's no pockets between the lug holes. Well that's one thing to consider with the thinner 3/4"spacers. The 1" spacers would probably be ok.

Yes I knew going into them I'd have to cut; not a huge deal. The one inch spacers will deffinatley clear without a problem any wheel.

Spacers are junk. You should get wheels with the correct offset.

No I agree. Spacer lifts are junk. But wheel spacers are no better.

Are those billet or cast spacers, those do look like junk. Some wheels are junk and will do that same thing. 50k miles so far and no issues for me.

And some people can break a 250 lb anvil with a feather.....Wheel spacers have a VERY good track record. Showing a picture of a single incident of breakage doesn't prove there's a pattern or a history of failures. Law of averages will eventually atch up with ANYTHING man made. I guess you could say everyone's opinions are "junk" because they aren't ALWAYS right.....
