Wow it can go down a gravel / dirt road with hardly any effort. Where do I sign up. I can do that with my Prerunner and passenger car street tires.

At least he's honest-ish and says he'll be interested to see what their (i.e. press ) testing reveals. My guess is he knows 'best in class' is a question mark overshadowed by the drums and that the press is going to give him grief, which some have. What will be interesting is how we all find it in the real world and how the new modulation works out. He seems to indicate that the OR or the TRD's are different than the others so that will also be interesting if I understood correctly - clarification with pointers to documentation or other video spippets that discuss brakes would be welcome.

The TRD OR won't have as good braking as the others mainly because of the off road tires. Street tires produce much better braking results than ATs.

    Um...it's a Prius. No mods.
But look at all those GoPro mounts! I wonder if they are standard. That would be cool.

From that article, this has to be the best caption I've ever read:

Instead of saying "This cheap fucking rubber pad will not stay on the e-brake handle"

Critical thinking and articulation are difficult, aren't they?

I sound like a troll because I don't have a hard on for all things Tacoma? The Tacoma has been a good truck and will continue to be. I'm just disappointed that they didn't take it a little further with the 3rd gen. It seemed rushed, and the front end design is very unfortunate looking.

How exactly are the GM Twins POS? Do you have any statistics to back it up, or am I supposed to blindly take your word for it since you seem to be so objective about it?

Again, just because I'm not a Tacoma fanboy doesn't mean I'm a fanboy of anything else. I have zero brand allegiance, and buy what I think is the best product/value available.

GM pride? Why, because I actually said that the GM Twins aren't nearly has terrible as all of you insecure fanboys are trying to claim?

While I agree that most domestics lagged behind imports for MANY years in terms of technology, quality and dependability, the gap has quickly closed. Consumer Reports, JD Power, and many automotive journals would agree.

As I already mentioned, TacomaWorld has quite the reputation in for being a bastion for blind fanboys, and this thread is a prime example of it.

It can smoothly avoid 8.4 inch rocks. It also has the rear shocks mounted midaxle to deflect rocks before they hit the spare tire.

With all due respect, you do know TFLTruck gets a hard on with every new vehicle they "review" as they are flown out to these junkets by the manufacturer they are reviewing for? They are not "journalists" in any sense of the word and basically prostitute themselves to to the manufacturers to pay their expenses. They make flashy videos and then make money off the Youtube views. Basic business model.

They really want to get in on the new product reveals (e.g. 2015 GM Twins, 2016 Tacoma) because that gives them the most Youtube hits as people want information on the new stuff. To get in on the new product reveals you have to show to the companies who invite you there that you are "cooperative". You'll notice when they review older vehicles they often make complaints (e.g. Nissan Frontier) but those are older vehicles with not a lot of interest and competition from other auto "journalists".

The only thing they do that is half assed good is their Ike Gauntlet tow tests where they put down some actual numbers.

Those Gauntlet videos actually have specs in them, too. They even talked about the 16 Tacoma in the 15 Tacoma Gauntlet run

I'm really hearing a lot of the same crap from you.
Take it to the GM forums.

I see nothing wrong with his statements. Can't handle someone that isn't slobbering all over the new go pro mount?

Just use the ignore button for the mouth breathing fanboys. Makes things much more simple.
